Food Tasting: Richgold Catering

I inquired with Richgold Catering last August. But at that time we were still deadset in getting a particular caterer. But after the first caterer's unwillingness for flexibility, we decided to scout for others. I came upon Richgold Catering from Gtalk. There were some B2Bs that got them to cater on their big day. And they were all praises for this new player. So I decided to give them a shot as well and scheduled food tasting with them.

They were having a food tasting session at the Oasis Manila yesterday. So the FMIL, FFIL and I went to check out what they had to offer.

When we came in, Jed, our AE, was already speaking to one of the prospective customers. So after saying our fist hi's and hello's, off we went to check out the food.

Steamed rice and Garlic Carbonara

Veggies, Beef, Fish

Lumpia with Deep Fried Wrapper

Korean Beef Stew and Pan Seared Fish
with Tomato Salsa

Breaded Pork with Mushroom Sauce and
Roasted Chicken wit Au Jus Sauce

Dessert and Salad Station

Creme Brulee

Chocolate Mousse with Mango Cream

Herbed Balsamic Vinaigrette, Thousand Island,
Cruttons, Pickles, Ham and Corn Kernels

Mock Centerpiece, there was a live gold fish in the middle!

I especially loved the Garlic Carbonara. It was my favorite. I also enjoyed the Korean Beef Stew. I loved both of the desserts! I am such a dessert person.

The centerpiece was supposed to have a tall vase of fresh flowers in the middle of the fish bowl. But since the stylist was late, the fish ended all alone in the middle.

But it was still really nice. The FMIL and FFIL loved Richgold and their freebies. They also enjoyed all the food. Another good thing? Richgold will shoulder the corkage with La Castellana! Isn't that great!!?! So that means we just need to pay the venue rate and do away with the 20% catering fee. Oh, joy...
