So off I went to Recto yesterday to have some stamps made for me. Here they are:
The big one is around 4 by 4 and costs 300 pesos. The two smaller ones are 150 pesos each. The paper that you see underneath the stamps are print outs of the monograms where we had the stamps copied. I was worried that they won't be able to make the exact designs but they did! Amazing.
The big stamps are the ones I will use for making the personalized table napkins. I have yet to find the perfect tissue papers for this but I want to use brown ones like in Starbucks. And then I plan to find pink ink for the stamps. I read that I need pigment ink so it won't run when it gets wet and won't transfer to the guests' faces. The girls from Gtalk recommended Memory Lane Store for all scrap booking supplies. I gave them a call and the owner seemed very knowledgeable with what I should use. I'd love to chat with her some more when I get to there store!
The small initials I will use for our wax seal. This is also available in the Memory Lane Store for 395 pesos each, it's on sale at that price. But since I would probably need a lot of those I'd better find a cheaper source.
The bigger stamp with initials will be for embossing the glass lid of the watch boxes that I will give the principal sponsors. I would probably need embossing powder for this project and an embossing gun! I found this Facebook account called Bee Happy selling embossing gun. I will get one of these too.
I will post pictures of my DIY once I am done with them. I will find the tissue papers I need and ink probably next Sunday.
Hi Chinay Tourister! I came across your blog when I was searching for infinity dresses. Anyway, I just found out that we have the same monogram frame! Actually, not so much because we took out some in ours. I've read that you paid for that monogram... which makes me wonder if your supplier for your monogram actually paid for using another person's brush frame set? The original frame brush set is actually free but only for personal use and not for sale. My H2B used it also in making our monogram but it was used in our personal website and we're not earning from it.
ReplyDeleteThe original brush is found here: http://www.brusheezy.com/brushes/20907-decorative-swirl-frame-brushes
Hello, TQ. Yeah, I paid to have that made. Wow, this saddens me, I hope no copyright infringement happened in designing that Monogram. :(
ReplyDeleteHi Chinay Tourister! Just dropping by to say I love the outcome of the rubber stamps. I wish I'd known your blog before my wedding.:) Your resources would've been super useful to me (especially memory lane store). But I still enjoy clicking through your links nonetheless.:)
ReplyDeleteHappy planning.:)

ReplyDeleteHey, Adel! Awesome that I'm able to help you out! I already finalized ours and I am happy to say that after experimenting with soaking the table napkin in water the ink stayed put! I used the brand Stampin' Up! :)
DeleteHi chinay tourister! Thank you for this post. I'm really looking for this kind of stuff! Did you find the perfect tissue paper? I'm currently on the look out for one. Hope you can share where you bought yours.
