DIY Table Napkins

Last Friday was a free day for me. I didn't have much to do so I decided to ask my sister to accompany me to check out Memory Lane Shop where I can buy some pigment ink so I can start my table napkin DIYs. The shop was actually a room of craft heaven in the owner's residence. I was overwhelmed with all the wonderful items they were selling! From rubber stamps, to inks, to stamp pads, to die cut and embossing folders, craft papers, fabric stamping kit, embossing and die cut machines, stickers, different types of punchers... The list goes on and on! But you have to contact them before dropping by since this is, after all, inside their house. The owner, Mrs. Helen Chua, or Auntie as we fondly called her right away, was very accommodating and really nice. My sister and I liked her immediately.

So, once we got home, I was really excited to start on my DIY table napkins right away.

Since our motif is different shades of pink, I was ecstatic when I found the pink table napkins in Daiso in Cubao. So I then tried out the white pigment ink by American Crafts (Php 250.00) and stamped our monogram onto the table napkin.

It didn't look all very white on the table napkin, though. It looked kinda silver which was okay since we also have accents of silver in our motif. But the rubber stamp looks too small. It looked like it would look better on a cocktail sized table napkin. I need to have a new one made if I want to stick with this look.

Next, I tried the wax seal rubber stamp on the cocktail napkin and white luncheon napkin.

I used Pretty in Pink pigment by Stampin' Up (Php 450.00) on the brown recycled cocktail napkin first and this is how it turned out.

The pink ink was not that visible on the brownish color of the cocktail napkin. Not good. So then I tried it on the white luncheon napkin and here is how it looked.

I really liked this one. The pink is a good touch and combination on the white table napkin. It looks like antique pink or baby pink on it! I love it! So I am going to stick to this look. I will have a bigger stamp created since it also seems to small on the luncheon sized table napkin. I will also have the wedding date added underneath our initials. I will make sure to have this done on my next Divisoria trekking.

    1. Hello, Kat! I got the colored table napkins from Daiso or Japan Home, I think. One of those stores. They are around Php 55.00 per pack, if I recall correctly. :)
