My Last Birthday As a Miss

Since it was my last birthday as a single lady, I decided I wanted to do something different. Initially, I thought of having my birthday celebrated at Cafe Kapitan because it has that vintage feel that I love. But then I realized I already have a vintage wedding theme. So I need something totally unrelated to that.

I went back memory lane thinking of all the birthdays I had in the past. I realized I never had a fast food birthday party! My mom was not very keen on fast foods when we were younger. We were always either celebrating at home with home cooked meals, eating out, or a catered event. But never a fast food birthday party for me. My brother had one when he was 7 years old at McDonald's. But not me. So it was settled. I am having a kiddie party. And nothing spells kiddie like Jollibee.

So on the 1st of September, I celebrated my last birthday as a single lady at Jollibee Sta. Lucia East Grandmall. They just launched they Hello Kitty theme last July which was a good thing since I did not want to have a Jollitown or Avengers themed birthday! I invited a total of 40 guests, all of which are close friends of mine and were also invited to our big day.

I got JP Recodo of JPphotograph to document this momentous event in my life. I wanted to be able to look back to this day in the years to come. He came early and started checking out the venue right away. He's very pleasant to work with and is keen on details. I love the shots he got of the party and of my guests! He really captured the mood and feel of the event. My friends were raving about the photos when I tagged them in Facebook. Good job, JP!

I decided not to get the loot bags available from Jollibee. Instead I got these cute Hello Kitty cookies from Timmy's Oven. They were a hit with my guests because aside from being totally adorable they were yummy too!

There were crazy games, the emcee was equally crazy! Totally fun!

My good friend, Joanne, made me a rainbow cake. But they encountered some rough roads and the cake got a good bump. So she got me another one. Two cakes!! Woohoo!

I wasn't expecting any presents so I was surprised when I got quite a lot. I was thrilled! One sack of gifts!

And look what Jollibee got me! Soooo cute!!!

I thought I could wait until the exact day of my birthday but I couldn't. So I already opened the presents the same night. But the good thing about this was I got to use some of them on my birthday itself! Check out my birthday blings!

I, of course, celebrated my birthday at Viking's Marikina. Their birthday promo was too good to pass up. LOL

As birthday celebrant I get to eat free as long as I am accompanied by a paying adult. And I had my mom and brother with me so that was not a problem. I also wanted to get my picture taken with the Viking's hat! But since I was not able to see that the freaking thing was kinda laid flat on my head, I ended up looking like a DutchMaid instead of a Viking. LOL

I also got a wonderful surprise from my co-W@Wies Chelle and Ronna! I was just about hyperventilating when I got these cakes from Chef Kiko of Toy Cakes and Pastries!!

The cakes were delicious! I was hesitant to slice it because it's so pretty! But of course I could not resist. LOL. Our refrigerator, though, was complaining because there were 4 boxes of cake in it. We had to move stuff around for all of them to fit. I love birthdays!!

Truly, this was a birthday celebration worth remembering. I have such wonderful people in my lives and I am truly blessed to have them!
